We’re nuns. We game. And we have rulers…fear the ruler!

Who are we? Chances are, if you are reading this, you already know who we are – a couple of “hip” middle aged broads who can hip-hop, be-bop, game til’ we drop and yo yo yo make a mean cup of…Joe…err…coffee. We are, in a word (o.k. in five words) Julie Whitefeather and Frances Kosac and together we make up the team that hosts the podcast called NO PRISONERS, NO MERCY!

Chances are you already know why you are here – you may already be a listener of the No Prisoners, No Mercy Podcast at www.virginworlds.com. You may have read the column that Julie Whitefeather writes for Virginworlds.com. You have even read her work for The Older Gamers, Lorewriter.com, Online Gaming Radio or even all the way back to World of Warcraft Chronicles. Perhaps you listened to the short run podcast called “Age of Co-nuns” that we did for Online Gaming Radio or, perhaps you have even seen Julie on stage (in which case you already know more than just a little about her).

Then again, the astounding photography and eye catching graphics and websites (like this one) by Fran Kosac may have brought you here – and yes she will even make a web site for you if you pay her to do it.

Now if you DON’T KNOW why you are here a lot depends on how you got here in the first place.

If it was entirely an accident and you are a gamer, then you have come to the right place – in fact if you try and leave before you are done reading I will smack you’re knuckles with my ruler. If you came here under some sort of threat (perhaps someone has a gun to your head) then by God call the police now! If you are looking for the convent that Julie and Fran belong to you are in the wrong place; go to www.sistersofembracement.org in that case.

Whatever reason brought you here, you might want to know what we have done before, but if you have read this far you already know that. What you might want to know are the answers to a few questions we get all the time like:

Question: Just who do you think you are?

Answer: Who we think we are is Fran Kosac and Julie Whitefeather. But to be honest on the rare occasion when that question is asked, it is usually couched something like, “Just who the HELL do you think you are?” Julie thinks she is a woman who has been writing about the video gaming industry for years. She has also written a book, is working on more, and writes on other subjects as well.

Julie, also thinks Fran is one fantastic woman, a talented professional graphic artist, and has a laugh that is more contagious than the plague.

Question: Who are you to comment on the video gaming industry?

Answer: As redundant as the answer might seem, beyond the answer to who the hell do we think we are question, over the years we have developed our own individual styles of writing and podcasting, earning the respect of industry professionals as well. Don’t believe us? Question: Why does Julie write under the name “Julie Whitefeather”?

Answer: We here at No Prisoners, No mercy understand that many people who write about the videogame industry like to use a pseudonym. In fact, so many of the guests on our show have pseudonyms we often feel like we are talking to fugitives from the law. As odd as it may seem, Julie writes under the name “Julie Whitefeather” because that is her name!
