The cellphone accessory and ringtone "industry" was the same during the last tech boom, and now they're at least forced to acknowledge the subscription switcheroo in their ads because the regulators finally caught up. It's the virtual wild west. You can make a fortune if you're among the first, but you might not want people asking too many questions on how you got it.
