Will this be one of the new Marvel Movies?
Is this the face of the future? Did you see this movie when it was released back in 1978? Would you go see it again?
Disney is banking on the hope that you will and they are banking on it big time…
This morning the Associated Press reported, in an article by Ryan Nakashima, that Disney is set to complete its acquisition of Marvel for $4.2 Billion this week. Now thats big bucks in anyone’s dictionary (even your favorite Uncle Sam) – but the kicker is that it is a good deal more than the $1.2 Billion that Marvel was worth when the deal was announced.
Let’s hope that the home of the famous mouse is as good at business dealings as they have always been (after all we are big Disney fans as well as Marvel Fans here at No Prisoners, No Mercy). It seems that all the good super heroes, all the big name stars that most people recognize from the pages of mighty Marvel Comics, are all ready tied up in long term business deals – you know how Hollywood loves thier sequels (we are still waiting for Halloween 24 and we are sure we won’t have to wait too long).
Not to be daunted, it appears that the good folks at Disney Studios are going back to the bench to take a second look at some of those second stringers that you have either never heard of or thought you heard the last from. First up from the bench is to be a new Dr. Strange movie and a new hero you might not have heard of called “Ant Man”.
While we can’t say that we are big fans of the likes of some of the heros that have already been discussed (Ant Man, Dr. Strange and Iron Fist) the thought of more heroes from the Avengers comics has us quivering in anticipation.
See you online,
