I am still on the island somewhere between The Savage Coast and The Blue Ridge Mountains. It is still plenty scary. But will it stay that way? Will the game be as great by the time I get to Egypt as it is now? Please tell me there won’t be the old Age of Conan “switcheroo”.

Love the pic!
There is plenty of scare left if your only still in KM and it gets even better and more tense and scary. Wether it’s your own mind scaring you or the sounds and things in the environment. It just gets more spooky!
In closed beta, I only got about halfway through the Blue Mountains with my most advanced alt… but it was still plenty creeptastic. =)
I’ve read comments by other closed beta players who made it all the way to the highest tiers of the game… and I don’t think ‘content deficit disorder’ is going to be a problem.
@Ardent Defender. Thanks for the compliment about the pic. It is a montage.
@Both. I have even seen a mainstream media review the game and stated their belief it could compete with WoW. Many have claimed that before but few have.
From what you tell me it appears that Funcom has indeed learned from their mistakes of the past and given us a great game that I hope will have legs.
I have made it into the first area in Egypt and the game is still shocking my socks off. If anything the content gets better once you leave Kingsmouth. The investigation quests ramp up by an intellectual metre and the regular story quests/side quests are still of a well thought out and interesting nature.
Hi there Herf and thanks for the reply. In fact I have started The Savage Coast area now. It was just last night that I was skirting the edge of the woods when something resembling a cross between a lion, a buzzard, and a dead bird leaped out of one of the crevices at me…it did what no other game has ever truly done…it scared me.
