What do you do when you are Electronic Arts and your game developer Mythic creates a remake of a classic game is nearly universally despised by the gaming community? Why the answer is simple – you fix it so no one can give your game a rating of below five stars. It seems that if you try to rate the game less than five stars it sends you to to a feedback form. (No mention of what happens if you try and give it a negative rating). Here, via Gamasutra, is the response from Electronic Arts:
“We’re always looking at new ways to gather player feedback so that we can continue to improve our games,” said the spokesperson. “The ‘rate this app’ feature in the Google Play version of Dungeon Keeper was designed to help us collect valuable feedback from players who don’t feel the game is worth a top rating.” – Electronic Arts
Yes friends, if you are trying to calm the fires of contempt for your game there is nothing like pouring a few gallons of gasoline on the flames.
See you online,
