It pays to know total nerds.  That’s what saved the day recently when a company that otherwise is known as “overweight livestock” overwrote our site with a save from 2009.  Why they felt the sudden need to overwrite our data is beyond me.  When we asked them to restore it to 2018 we were told they didn’t have updates from 2018 (the screenshots we possessed from our conversations with their customer service (and here I use the term facetiously) said otherwise.  But thank God (yes, We thanked Him) for friends who described themselves as total nerds who knew about an internet archive that contained all of our files that had not been backed up – those between 2011 and present.

 

They also told us about the “three-two-one” rules; have three backups, two locally and one off site.

Total Nerds saved the day.  We are in the process of restoring the old files.
